A Bit of History
Originally we began as one clinic - Warkworth Physio, the first local physiotherapy clinic! We grasped a vision for the community; a need for an integral and quality service reaching out rurally. We want to thank Janet Armstrong for the foundations she lay in Warkworth Physio that have allowed us to take the business to where it is today.
Helen Sheat originally came on board as a Physiotherapist for Janet Armstrong in Warkworth. She fell in love with the community and jumped at the chance to purchase the business when the opportunity arose.
In 2004 we extended to Wellsford; a welcoming community in need of a quality service. It has been an incredible journey watching the Wellsford clinic grow and the amazing results we have seen and continue to see in our patients.
In 2005 we became Active Living Physiotherapy and increased our efforts to streamline and develop our service on a professional level.
In 2008 Hannah Edwards came on board as Co-Director with Helen Sheat and we further channelled our area of service closing Warkworth and moving into the beautiful community of Matakana. It was exciting to walk through the rennovation of a family home into a clinic and the response has been fantastic – thank you Matakana!!
Now we are three; Matakana, Wellsford and Mangawhai. The directors Helen Sheat and Hannah Edwards joined forces in 2008 and, sharing the same vision have grown the business together.
